He slipped in slowly
And forgot to knock
Intentions lowly
Footsteps heavy as rock
It is a wonder
Why I was unaware
Quiet like thunder
He whispered in my ear
Time ticked without end
A conversation lacking poise
Surely we did not intend
Silence amplified every noise
It seems familiar
These conversations in my brain
Nothing peculiar
But it is all done in vain
Exhaustion will win out
And sleep will come
But [...]
