what sentence
blurted from your mouth
with out the familiar
residual stain
whispers off your lips
float on the breeze
carried down wind
heard in solemn silence
call me friend
i’ll be as none before
extending loyalty
and grace to you
distance stands
between our eyes
we are what we are
we are what we will be
don’t bother changing
it might be too risky
