Seattle Something

who really knows [about me]

A new distraction for a busy twenty-something Seattleite. Think of this as the Seinfeld of blogs.
PLEASE NOTE: The only rule of this blog is that if you know me, do not reveal my true identity. I can do it myself.

Dreams

On June 31st of next year, my one year lease will end. Exactly one month after, my sister will get married. I’ve written about my distaste of city life and my love for the mountains before. You all are well aware. July of next year marks my goal of moving to the east side of the mountains.

GASP!

I really do not want to leave my friends, Sister and move farther away from my parents, but I can take it no longer. It is time. Plus, my sister and her fianchey are also contemplating moving to a foreign country for a bit.

A few weeks ago I had a conversation with an old client of mine. Her and I have become good friends over the past year and a half or so. Her and her husband are thinking of retiring in the next year or two and have talked about moving to the east side of the mountains as well. A thought popped in my mind while we were having lunch: what if they bought a large house with three or four rooms and we converted it to a seasonal bed and breakfast? I would muster up some cash money to be partially invested in the business as well and be the manager / part owner. I would live for free and share in the profits—though my share would be significantly smaller! However, I thought that might be fun to do. Also, if Tamms husband can successfully convince her to move to the east side of the mountains then maybe they too would be interested in the business idea.

Another idea I have, which is much further down the road, would be to own a ranch with a few horses. My husband (assuming there will be one) and I would take high school kids on over night trail rides, teach them survival skills, ranch duties and hard work. I would love to work with that age and be more involved in people’s lives.

Anywhozzle, it is my goal to move next summer. I hope to have something put together before I do so!
